About the Role: 

As a Senior Engineer on the Systematic Trading Technology Team, you will collaborate with Traders, Quants, Business Analysts, and global technology partners to build and evolve Invesco’s trading platforms. You will design and deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions while serving as a trusted technology partner to the Capital Markets business, helping drive innovation, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Our goal is to deliver best-in-class trading solutions that empower traders, trade management, and the quantitative research teams to perform at the highest level. The team focuses on delivering innovative solutions using the latest technology, optimizing trading workflows, data modeling/analytics, and building applications/interfaces that not only make our trading desks effective, but also bring new trader ideas to life!

Responsibilities of the Role: 

  • Partnering with business, design and develop software applications to enhance ability to take better Investment decisions and simplify the activities of the trade life cycle globally

  • Working closely in a mid-size growing team using the agile development methodology to implement solutions that meet business needs

  • Hands-on development, working with the squad to build out solutions, review code, design test cases, and build out SDLC pipelines.

  • Leading the adoption of AI-driven capabilities (e.g., automation, analytics, decision support) within production systems.

  • Partnering with Enterprise Architecture/Infrastructure/Security teams to follow technology & security best practices are implemented 

Requirements of the Role:

  • 7+ years of working in Data Analytics, Architecture, Design, Development in the areas of Snowflake and ETL

  • Proficient in Snowflake and MS SQL Server/ Oracle in constructing Tables using normalization techniques, creating Views, UDFs, Stored Procs ..

  • Working knowledge of Python/ AWS is required.

  • Working knowledge of any BI tool (Power BI / Tableau) is a plus

  • Familiarity with CRD/ Portware applications would be a huge plus

  • Experience with Investments/Asset Management (Equities, Fixed Income, Alternatives) would be a plus.

  • Knowledge of cloud engineering and cloud-native architecture would be a plus

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
