Join a collaborative team responsible for coordinating key risk assessment and regulatory reporting activities across the region. You'll work with stakeholders across multiple business areas and contribute to important regulatory and compliance initiatives. As an Associate in the EMEA Global Financial Crime Compliance (GFCC) Program Management team, you will report directly to the GFCC Risk Assessment and Reporting Lead, with primary responsibilities for AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment coordination and development on behalf of GFCC EMEA. Risk assessments are performed on an annual cycle for the firm's subsidiaries and branches, lines of business (LOBs), and specified countries, in accordance with local laws, regulations, or regulatory expectations. You will also be responsible for other complementary risk assessment processes and annual regulatory reports.

Job Responsibilities

  • Draft, syndicate, and finalize LOB / legal entity reports for the United Kingdom (UK), in coordination with LOB and GFCC stakeholders.

  • Assist with EMEA-wide risk assessment planning, execution oversight, and reporting to senior management for the EMEA GFCC region.

  • Address and escalate risk assessment execution risks, as applicable.

  • Coordinate additional risk assessment related activities with respect to qualitative risk appetite assessments, comprehensive legal entity risk assessments, and annual review of country risk ratings.

  • Coordinate annual financial crime report submissions on behalf of all UK regulated legal entities.

  • Coordinate program team submissions related to risk assessments and regulatory reporting in response to reviews or queries conducted by Audit, regulators, GFCC Controls Management and the Testing Centre of Excellence, as applicable, during testing and examinations to support requests and address report inquiries.

  • Provide management information to EMEA governance forums and other internal forums.

  • Develop smart solutions to improve risk assessment and regulatory reporting processes and outputs using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.

  • Provide support to the broader team with respect to the administration of EMEA GFCC procedures and other guiding documents.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong knowledge of regulations, with particular focus on financial crime

  • Problem solving and project management skills

  • Proficient use of MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • An interest in, and proficiency with, AI tools 

  • An ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)

  • Strong interpersonal skills including an ability to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • An ability to adapt quickly to change and to be able to handle multiple deliverables

  • Demonstrated personal initiative, leadership skills, and ability to deliver results.
