Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls. We manage and partner on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations. The team comprises chief financial officers who partner with each of our businesses and disciplines including controllers, financial planning and analysis, strategy, investor relations, tax and treasury.
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Financial Planning & Analysis - Lending Analyst, Assistant Vice President based in Singapore. Join Citi's Wealth Lead Finance Office (LFO) organization, where you will serve as a dedicated finance partner and strategic adviser to one of Citi's high-priority consumer lending businesses across Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UAE. In this role, you will hold direct finance coverage responsibility for the Singapore Cards and Personal Lending portfolios, as well as the Securities-Based Lending portfolio across all three markets, translating complex financial data into clear commercial narratives that directly inform business strategy. Working within a focused team of approximately 10 finance professionals, you will operate at the intersection of financial planning, performance analysis, and stakeholder engagement to help shape and deliver the financial objectives of the business.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary finance partner for the Singapore Cards and Personal Lending portfolios and the cross-market Securities-Based Lending business teams, advising product and country teams on financial performance and strategic priorities.
Lead short and long-term budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles for covered portfolios, coordinating with FP&A, Treasury, Risk, and business partners to deliver accurate, timely outputs.
Analyze portfolio financial performance against plan, identify variances, and develop clear corrective action recommendations
Produce financial reports, dashboards, and performance analytics covering key metrics, results, and trends to support data-driven business decisions
Prepare and contribute to Business Review materials, working closely with COO teams and cross-functional partners to deliver commercially relevant, audience-appropriate presentations.
Identify and support expense optimisation opportunities and initiatives in collaboration with COO teams, contributing to improved financial efficiency across the portfolios.
Assess financial risks and emerging opportunities proactively, raising issues and challenging assumptions as appropriate to protect portfolio performance and uphold sound financial governance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
5 to 8 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, management reporting, or a closely related finance discipline within financial services or banking.
Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end financial planning and budgeting processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
Experience working with consumer banking, cards, lending, or wealth management products, with the ability to develop a strong understanding of business mandates and strategic objectives.
Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, commercially relevant narratives tailored to a range of audiences, from product teams to senior Finance and business leadership.
Skilled at managing multiple competing priorities independently in a fast-paced, cross-market environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Effective communicator who can engage confidently with senior business and Finance stakeholders, raise issues constructively, and influence decisions through well-supported analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
