As an AML & KYC Risk Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting the Firm from money laundering and reputational risks by leading complex Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Source of Wealth reviews for high-risk clients.

What you'll do in the role

  • Lead complex Source of Wealth, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for new and existing clients

  • Assess AML, KYC, and reputational risks and provide clear, risk-based recommendations

  • Partner with Compliance, Financial Crimes, Private Banking, and Business teams to support client onboarding and ongoing monitoring

  • Act as a key escalation point for complex client reviews and risk-related matters

  • Analyze trends, identify emerging risks, and contribute to strengthening the Firm’s AML framework

  • Drive process improvements, regulatory initiatives, and quality enhancement projects

  • Support and mentor AML analysts, helping to build a strong risk and compliance culture

What you'll bring to the role

  • 3-7 years of experience in AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, Financial Crime Compliance, or Risk Management

  • Strong knowledge of client onboarding, Source of Wealth reviews, and AML regulatory requirements

  • Experience assessing high-risk clients and conducting complex due diligence investigations

  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for risk management and regulatory excellence

  • ACAMS or an equivalent AML certification is an advantage

  • Fluency in Chinese and/or Arabic are desired but not required
